Baby Squid in Olive Oil - Pacific Bay

Here's a simple way to cook baby squid. Just olive oil, garlic, and a bit of soy sauce. Tastes so good and it's quick.

INGREDIENTS
500g Pacific Bay Baby Squid
5 cloves garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 bay leaves (Laurel)
2 tbsp soy sauce
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Sea salt, to taste

PROCEDURE
Prepare the squid. Defrost the baby squid, and drain any excess water.

Sauté garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pan over low heat, then add the finely minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Stir-fry the squid. Add the baby squid and bay leaves to the pan. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes, ensuring the squid cooks evenly. Add a little more olive oil if the pan seems dry. Season with sea salt, ground black pepper, and soy sauce.

Serve. Cook it for another minute to allow the flavors to combine, then serve hot.

Note:

Pacific Bay Baby Squid is pre-cleaned before freezing, so it cuts down on prep time.
